Carlisle at Chambersburg
Wednesday, April 25
Carlisle Track and Field travelled to Chambersburg yesterday and came home with two wins.
On the girls side we overwhelmed the Lady Trojans at every turn and came away with a 90.5-59.5 victory. We only won 7 of the 15 individual events, but our depth was outstanding. Leading the way for Carlisle were again Liz Weis and Emma Stephens. Both were double event winners and ran on winning relay squads. Other event winners on the day were Gabby Silvious, Sam Pesile, and Abby Walters.
The boys meet came down to the final event and was the most exciting finish to a T&F meet as is possible in the sport! With the final narrow relay win the score ended with a Herd win at 79-71. We had 6 individual event winners: Cade Rush, Casey Padgett, Trent Balestri, Elijah Ibrahim, Kurtis Ravenel, and Robert Lissner. Leading the way on this day however, was Jack Wisner who came through big on anchor legs of both the 4x8 at the beginning and 4x4 at the end also while assuring distance sweeps of individual races.
Great day for Carlisle!

Carlisle at State College
Wednesday, April 18
Carlisle Track and Field travelled to State College and on the girls side it was the battle of unbeaten Commonwealth teams.
Our boys fell hard to the Little Lions 108-41. The field events did not go well, but on the Track the Herd had some bright spots winning every event 400 meters and up. The boys were led by double event winner Jack Wisner who won the 800 and 2 mile. Our other individual event winners were: Cade Rush in the mile and Eveyon Davis in the 400.
The girls meet was another story as two fantastic teams traded blows throughout the meet. Every event and every point mattered. The final score after several recalculations stood at 75.5 to 74.5 with the Lady Herd coming up on the short side during a snowy windy day in State College. Our girls were led by triple event winner Emma Stephens. Sophi Toti nabbed two distance wins in the mile and 2 mile. Our other event winners were Liz Weis, Allison Neslund, and Morgan Ely.

Carlisle vs Cumberland Valley
Wednesday, April 4
Carlisle hosted Cumberland Valley in our season opener in Track and Field:
Our boys fell to CV by a score of 92-58. It was the first loss to the CV boys team since 2013, but we had our bright spots in a meet that was closer than the score indicates. Our individual event winners were: Salko Hrnjic (in both hurdles races), Jack Wisner, Caleb Padgett, Cade Rush and Nate Bernheimer.
It was a different story in the girls meet. The Lady Herd put away CV by a score of 97-53. This was the largest margin of victory over the Lady Eagles in at least a decade, and very likely since any of our student athletes were born! Of the 18 events, 14 were won by Carlisle girls who were led by our 2 triple event winners: Emma Stephens and Liz Weis. Emma won the Triple, Long, and High Jump competitions while Liz won the 100, 200 and 400 sprints. Sophia Toti won the mile and 2 mile. Other event winners were Sophia Salomone, Gabby Silvious, Brooke Carpenter, and Morgan Ely. Way to start the season girls!
