Carlisle vs. Altoona
Tuesday April 16

Carlisle Track & Field played host to Altoona on Tuesday.
 
The Herd boys destroyed the mountain lions winning 100 to 50. Multiple event winners included Kolbin Heberlig in the 1600 and 3200, and Parker Smith in the 200 and triple jump. The Herd won all three relays and saw several PR’s throughout the meet.
 
The Lady Herd fell to Altoona 123 to 26. Leading the way for the Lady Herd was Sophia Julias winning the 100 and 400.
 
The Herd travels to the Roddick Invitational at Shippensburg University on Saturday.



Carlisle vs.Chambersburg
Tuesday April 9

Carlisle Track & Field played host to Chambersburg on Tuesday.
 
In another close meet that came down to the 4x400m relay, the Herd boys earned a true team victory defeating the defending state champion Trojans 77.5 to 72.5! This paves the way for the Herd to claim an outright Mid-Penn Commonwealth Division Title this season. Leading the way for the Herd was James Millare with victories in the 1600m run and the 800m run. Event winners also included Darian Crim in the 400m run and Mason Pretopapa in Javelin. The Herd won all three relays and also picked up several key points in second place from Mason Pretopapa, Parker Smith, Javani Mosley, Kolbin Heberlig, Nathan Carothers, Xavier Campbell, and Devin Vasquez.
 
On the girls side, the Lady Herd fell short to the Trojans 96 to 54. Multiple event winners included Sophia Julias in the 100m run and the 400m run, and Emily Leatherman in the 1600m run and the 800m run.
 
The Herd travels to Central Dauphin East on Thursday.

Bruce Dallas Invitational (at Cumberland Valley HS)
Saturday April 6

Carlisle Track and Field traveled to the Bruce Dallas Invitational at Cumberland Valley over the weekend.

For the first time in Carlisle Track & Field history, the Herd boys were declared the Bruce Dallas Invitational Boys Team Champion scoring 75 points. The Herd claimed first place with James Millare, Ben Kerr, Josh Blanton, and Kolbin Heberlig in the distance medley relay; Peyton Mitchell, Darian Crim, Parker Smith, and Mason Pretopapa in the 4x100 meter relay; and Parker Smith, James Millare, Kolbin Heberlig, and Darian Crim in the 4x400 meter relay. Darian Crim also claimed first place in the 400 meter run with his time of 49.59. Good work boys!

The Lady Herd scored 22 points in the meet. Leading the way were Elizabeth Bordner, Savannah Oakes, Emily Leatherman, and Ana Bondy placing first in the 4x800 meter relay. Emily Leatherman also placed second in the 800 meter run with her time of 2:17.70.
In another first, Carlisle was declared the Bruce Dallas Invitational Combined Team Champion scoring 97 points to surpass Cumberland Valley by 3 points! The Herd plays host to Chambersburg on Tuesday.

Carlisle vs. Harrisburg
Thursday April 4

Carlisle Track & Field played host to Harrisburg on Thursday. 

The Herd claimed victory over Harrisburg on both sides. On the boys’ side, the Herd swept Harrisburg in many events winning 122 to 27. Multiple event winners included Mason Pretopapa in the 100, 200, and Javelin; James Millare in the 1600 and 800; and Parker Smith in both long and triple jump. The Herd boys swept Harrisburg in several events and all three relays.

The Lady Herd claimed a 99 to 42 victory over Harrisburg. Multiple event winners included Emily Leatherman in the 400 and 800 and Sofie Voldstad in both long and high jump. The Lady Herd swept Harrisburg in many events and all three relays. 

The Herd travels to the Bruce Dallas Invitational at Cumberland Valley on Saturday and will play host to Chambersburg on Tuesday. 



Carlisle vs. State College
Tuesday March 27

Carlisle Track and Field opened the dual meet season against State College on Tuesday.

For the first time since 2021, Carlisle boys claimed victory over a State College track & field team. It came down to the last event of the meet, the 4x400 meter relay, where Parker Smith, James Millare, Josh Blanton, and Darian Crim stepped up to secure the victory 76 to 74. Carlisle swept the little lions in all three relays, the 1600 meter run, and the long jump. Leading the way for the Herd in the field was Xavier Campbell claiming first in long jump and high jump, and Parker Smith placing first in triple jump. Other event winners on the track were Kolbin Heberlig, Darian Crim, Josh Blanton, and Grant Best. Good work boys!

The Lady Herd fell short 99 to 51. Leading the way for the Lady Herd was Emily Leatherman placing first in both the 400 meter run and the 800 meter run, Ana Bondy winning the 3200 meter run, and Emily Sheffe winning the shot put. 

The Herd travels to Harrisburg next Tuesday. 



Tim Cook Invitational (at Chambersburg HS)
Saturday March 23

Carlisle Track & Field travelled to Chambersburg over the weekend for the Tim Cook Invitational. First place finishers included Darian Crim in the 400m run and Josh Blanton in the 800m run. The Herd hosts their first dual meet of the season against State College this Tuesday.
