The Elementary School Counselor provides direct and indirect services to all students through the American School Counselor Association National Model.
Direct Services:
- teaching the school counseling curriculum to all students through classroom lessons
- providing short-term individual and small group counseling
Indirect Services:
- consulting with parents, teachers, and community organizations to benefit a student
- collaborating with educational partners to support student achievement
- referring students to outside agencies and/or community resources for additional assistance and information
