Carlisle at PIAA State Championships
Monday, November 7
Please congratulate the Carlisle Cross country teams on some outstanding performances this past weekend at the State Championship meet. The girls were a surprise team to get to states and placed 15th thanks to a great run by Meg Lebo. Meg's run into the top 40 was the highest Carlisle girls individual finish in about 10 years and paved the way for the rest of the team. The rest of the scorers were Savannah Hossfeld, Julia Ledgett, Addison Jastron, and Haily Midgley.
The boys' team was the newly crowned State Champion Noah Affolder as he set a new meet record for the win. Sam Affolder followed close behind with a 3rd place finish. Isaac Kole also medaled with a top-15 finish and Jack Wisner was just outside the medals in the top-35. Rounding out the team scoring was Max Fiorentino. The boys placed 2nd to a great team from Council Rock. This was the best team finish in Carlisle School History! Great job boys!

Carlisle at District III Championships
Monday, October 31
Congratulations to the boys' Cross-Country team on their District III Championship this past weekend! After winning the Mid-Penn meet two weeks earlier, sights are now set on the State Championship meet in Hershey this Saturday. Leading the way for the Herd was the individual Champion Noah Affolder, who remains undefeated on the trails this fall. Following closely behind were his brother Sam Affolder and Isaac Kole. Jack Wisner came through with a top-25 performance and rounding out the scoring was another sophomore, Bryce Dunkelberger. The Herd ended up winning by a comfortable margin, but things will be tight next week!
The Lady Herd continued a streak of their own punching a ticket to States for the third straight year with an unexpected 4th place finish. Leading the way for the Lady Herd were Gracen Cabral, Savannah Hossfeld, Addison Jastron, Julia Ledgett, Meg Lebo and Haily Midgley. No one outside of Carlisle would have predicted this outcome, but our girls showed up big and ran a great team race. Congrats to all!

Jack Wisner and Bryce Dunkelberger wrapped up the team scoring while also claiming All-Conference honors for the victorious Herd.

The Carlisle Boys' Cross Country team wrapped up their perfect dual meet season with wins over Lower Dauphin and Northern last night. Carlisle at Carlisle Invitational
Monday, September 26
The Carlisle Meet of Champions was held this past Saturday and was a resounding success. With 85 teams from 7 states converged on our prestigious layout nobody left disappointed. Carlisle's own Noah Affolder set a new Invitational meet record running 3.1 miles in 14:47 which is currently the fastest time in the United States this year by a high schooler. Led by Noah, the team rose to the occasion and placed 2nd to only Don Bosco Prep of New Jersey. Right behind the Herd in 3rd place were the defending PIAA State Champions from Downingtown West. The Herd has not lost to a Pennsylvania team yet this season through 5 weeks of competition.
The Lady Herd came up big as well with an 8th place team finish and find themselves right in the thick of things for a third straight trip to the State finals. First up though a battle of unbeaten with both our girls and the Lady Trojans standing at 5-0 with the showdown on Tuesday afternoon in Chambersburg for the Commonwealth Crown.
