MISSION AND VISION

MISSION:

The mission of the library media program is to ensure that students are effective users of ideas and information.

PHILOSOPHY:

The purpose of our school library media centers is to acquire books and other materials related to the demands of the curriculum and the needs of the students and to organize these materials for effective use.

OBJECTIVE:

Our objective is to develop students' skills and resourcefulness in library research and to promote individual investigation using a variety of media.

MIDDLE SCHOOL LIBRARIES

Each of the middle schools in the Carlisle Area School District has a library that is in full operation during the school day.  A certified librarian teaches library resource skills to the students.  All students are encouraged to use the library for book selection and research.  Library aides are trained to assist the students when the librarian is not scheduled for that building.   

Students may check out two library books at a time. Library books are due in 12 school days.
The librarian is at Lamberton on Days 1, 3, and 5 of the six-day cycle and Wilson on Days 2, 4, and 6.

Monday - Thursday 7:00-3:30, Friday 7:00-3:00

Please visit your grade level Schoology course and open the library folder for the most current course content, database passwords, and more.

  • To access the PA Power Library digital resources from home you will need a public library card.  To obtain a free temporary library card from the Cumberland County Library System, please visit their website.
