CASD Elementary Reading Intervention
Vision Statement: As reading specialists, we strive to motivate and empower our students to learn and apply literacy strategies independently across all settings. Our goal is for students to become more confident, fluent readers, while also developing enjoyment for reading.
- Carlisle Area School District offers support for students within our tiered system of reading interventions.

* All students receive core reading instruction. Based upon their individual needs, students may receive tier 2 or tier 3 instruction as well. Our most intensive intervention occurs within tier 3 programming.
* Students are identified for tier 3 intervention based on various assessments administered throughout the school year. If students qualify for tier 3 support, families will receive a letter notifying them of this opportunity. -
* Students in tier 3 intervention programs will receive an intervention progress report at the end of each trimester to help families understand student growth and progress.
