Testing Schedule

 College Entrance Exam Information

Please plan ahead for the standardized tests that will benefit you as you prepare for post-secondary education.  Watch deadlines for registration!  Also, please research whether or not the schools to which you are applying require the SAT or the ACT.

PSAT - The PSAT will be held each year in October at Carlisle High School.  The PSAT is highly recommended for college bound juniors. This practice test will help prepare students to take the SAT at a later date. Scores of Juniors may be eligible for National Merit Scholarships.  Contact Mrs. Rotz at RotzG@carlisleschools.org for details.

SAT Many four-year colleges and universities require the SAT as criteria for admission. The SAT will be held at CHS (Test Center 39182) on the following Saturdays in the 2021-2022 School Year:

August 28, 2021

October 2, 2021

December 4, 2021

March 12, 2022

May 7, 2022

June 4, 2022

Registration for the SAT is done online at:  www.sat.org  Watch the registration deadlines!

All test takers are required to answer a short health survey upon entering the building and wear a mask during the entire testing day, as per College Board regulations.

Questions about SAT registration? Please contact the College Board student customer service at 866-756-7346.

Questions about test day? Please contact the CHS SAT Coordinator, Ms. Johanna Jones at JBJ2425@gmail.com.

ACT – Some four-year colleges and universities will also accept ACT scores as part of their admission process.  Registration and test dates can be found at www.act.org.  We do not offer this at CHS.  The closest testing site is Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg.

ASVAB Test – The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery test is administered each year in February at Carlisle HS. This is a great career exploration survey for student – not just those considering a career in the military.
