CHS Students Receive High Award on NHD Project

Kathryn Miller and Kailyn Rowland have been selected by the U.S. Army Women's Foundation Board of Directors to receive special recognition in the U.S. Army Women's Foundation Hall of Fame!  As writers, directors, and producers of their National History Day documentary "Women of West Point: Breaking Barriers of the Long Gray Line," they told the historical journey of the first women to graduate from the United States Military Academy.

They received first place honors at the 2020 NHD competition at the local, regional, and state levels, making it all the way to the national competition in June 2020.  For their hard work in recognizing the West Point women of the Class of 1980, the two young ladies will receive a Special Recognition award at the 2021 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the Women's Military Memorial at the entrance of Arlington National Cemetery.  Congratulations Kathryn And Kailyn!
