Science Fairs and Competitions

This website will give students information on science competitions available to them throughout the course of the year.  Please read each of the descriptions provided and click on its' corresponding tab to the left of the main webpage.

CASAC is the Carlisle Area Science Advisory Committee.  This science fair is a poster board presentation format.

The CASAC science fair will be hosted by the Carlisle Area School District this year and  will occur on January 27th-29th at Yellow Breeches Middle School.

PJAS is the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science.  This science fair is a presentation competition. 


This year the Dauphin County Technical School will be hosting this prestigious event. This fair will occur February 25th, 2016. First place recipients can move on to the state PJAS competition. 


For those students who receive a first place award at the Regional Competition, they will compete at the State Competition on May 14th-16th, 2016.  This presentation style fair will be held at Penn State University, State College, PA

CASEF is the Capital Area Science & Engineering Fair.  This fair is a poster board and presentation based fair. 

This competition will occur on March 22nd-25th at the Whitaker Center, Harrisburg, PA.  Those projects that garner 'grand champion' may be eligible to participate in the International Science and Engineering Fair in May.

Carlisle High School has been fortunate to be able to send students to this international event in the past.  The most recent participant was Patrick Myers.  During his 2012-2013 year,  Patrick went to Arizona, while during his 2013-2014 year, he was able to go to Los Angeles to participate in this event. We are hopeful that we can send a student once again to the prestigious international event!

It is mandatory that ALL projects comply with ISEF rules.  Disqualification will result if these rules are not followed. Please familiarize yourself with these rules by going to the "ISEF Rules & Guidelines" and "Rules Wizard" in the Science Links tab to the left.

Forms: Forms to register for the science competitions will be added as they become available.  Please be sure to check back often as this page will be updated.  When they are loaded, you must click on the Science Fair Forms & Surveys tab to access them.  Teachers will be addressing students to acquire about interest within the next couple of weeks.
